Most of the evening once again, was dotted with moderate to medium intensity downpours which we thoroughly enjoyed while sitting in the balcony. The extended canopy above the area worked wonderfully, as we watched the rain-drenched tall deodars dancing in the winds...

...next morning, once again, was 'gift wrapped' into dense fog's cover. We decided to take an early morning walk in the water drenched surroundings. Nature was distributing its gift on first come first serve basis...the hanging droplets were trying their best to stick to whatever they were holding & a cool consistent breeze was adamant to make them homeless. The sweet smell of moist earth was lingering all-around. The cute snails were jogging around at snail's pace to out-race colorful beetles & not so charming earthworms. And one of the snails found our car's window a nice place to relax...

The beautifully illuminated, colourful shops on one side & a stars'-like sparkling Doon Valley on the other...definitely a lovely sight. Seeing the liveliness and energy of this overcrowded place, I would admit that Mussoorie is among the 'most favoured' hill stations of India...

You just need a clear day and the place offers spectacular views of the snow clad Himalayan peaks of Thalay Sagar and Jonli. ...we checked into a hotel on the outskirts of the city. Without wasting much time, we hired an auto rickshaw for Har-Ki-Pauri. Mostly, the roads in and around Haridwar remain jam-packed, and more so during the weekends. In spite of being a weekday today, the conditions were still quite furious, perhaps, because of Baisakhi day(a north Indian festival). So ultimately, it proved to be a good idea to park the car safely in hotel's parking and roam around the town in local transport...

We could see a lot of foreigners wandering around in the streets of Rishikesh. The influx of foreign tourists, perhaps, started in the sixties, when the members of world-famous music band 'The Beatles'...

...we checked into a hotel on the outskirts of the city. Without wasting much time, we hired an auto rickshaw for Har-Ki-Pauri. Mostly, the roads in and around Haridwar remain jam-packed, and more so during the weekends. In spite of being a weekday today, the conditions were still quite furious, perhaps, because of Baisakhi day(a north Indian festival). So ultimately, it proved to be a good idea to park the car safely in hotel's parking and roam around the town in local transport...
